
Bilateral meeting in the field of social entrepreneurship
On September 17, 2019, the Institute for Entrepreneurship, Sustainable Development and Innovation hosted a bilateral meeting-seminar for exchange of good practices, experiences and ideas in the field of Social Entrepreneurship with a Russian delegation consisting of 12 specialists and students from the Russian Academy of Sciences.
National Economy and Public Administration (RANEPA), employees of the Accelerator of Social Initiatives RAISE (Moscow, RANEPA) and the Agency for Strategic Initiatives, young social entrepreneurs from various Russian cities.
RAISE is a large-scale accelerator in which specialized teams throughout Russia improve people's lives by implementing projects in the social sphere: helping people with disabilities and the elderly, children without parental care, abandoned animals; restoration of deserted villages, protection of cultural heritage and solving environmental problems.
The activities of the Institute in the field of social entrepreneurship, national and European programs and mechanisms to support the development of social and solidarity economy and legislation in the country were presented at the meeting.

Employees of the Russian Agency for Strategic Initiatives presented the mechanisms to support Social Entrepreneurship in Russia and the Fund for Support of Social Projects created by them.
Young Russian entrepreneurs shared their experience on projects they are implementing in the social sphere, some of which are: Dance Theater "Freedom" for children with disabilities, Designers develop clothes based on children's drawings (children with special needs), Production of clothes specifically developed for people with disabilities,
Creating employment for young people with health problems in the media agency "Digital Generation".
Ideas and opportunities for cooperation and joint projects between the Institute and organizations from Russia were discussed at the meeting.
