The Institute for Entrepreneurship, Sustainable Development and Innovation /IESDI/ has launched the implementation of its new project "Active Farmers for Climate Change Adaption".
The project is implemented with the financial support of the Active Citizens Fund Bulgaria under the EEA FM 2014-2021.
The main goal of the project is to stimulate the active participation and involvement of farmers and students in the agricultural sector in Bulgaria with the problems of environmental protection and adaptation of farms to climate change by raising awareness, improving knowledge and borrowing innovations and good practices. from Norway.
Partners in the project are the Agricultural University of Plovdiv, the National Association of Young Farmers in Bulgaria / NAMFB / and the Norwegian University of Agriculture and Rural Development / HLB /.
The project envisages the following activities:
- Borrowing innovations and good practices from Norway;
- Information and educational campaign;
- Development of sustainable mechanisms for activating farmers in the implementation of climate change adaption and environmental protection;
- Active farmers "agents for change".
The main activities of the project will be carried out in Plovdiv, Varna and Gabrovo districts, with predominant mountain agriculture, similar to the typical mountain agriculture in Norway.
The project has a duration of 12 months and financial support of 9,993 euros.
