Between February and June 2018, the IESDI and Sofia regional municipalities, will jointly implement the project "Promoting knowledge and activity of the Citizens of Sofia region in the realization of Public Policies in Accordance with the Priorities

The project aims to improve the performances of the mechanisms for implementation of EU public policies at local level and to disseminate information about European Union institutions and to promote European policies and practices among the administration, local authorities, Sofia municipality and the business community of the Sofia regional communities. Priority is given to the establishment of a secure environment for partnership between civil society stakeholders and the local authorities during the implementation of policies related to the European dimension of the development of the capital and in particular – the implementation of activities during the Presidency of Bulgaria of the Council of EU in 2018.

Activities include the development and analysis of questionnaires, preparation of information materials, organization of a seminar and a public discussion on the priorities, benefits and role of Bulgaria as the host country of the EU Presidency.
