Stakeholder workshop to present the Bulgarian new/advanced service under project DISCOVER

On April 3, IESDI held a meeting in Dryanovo Municipality to present the new/advanced service which we will provide in the future "one-stop-shop" (OSS) in Bulgaria – part of project DISCOVER! 

One of the most important activities of the DISCOVER project is the creation of one-stop-shops to provide services to potential initiators of community energy projects (CEPs) and energy communities - such OSSs will be created in the 4 pilot regions of the project (Bulgaria, Italy, France and Croatia). The OSS in Bulgaria will be located in Sofia region and is expected to be operational at the end of May 2025. This event was held in preparation for the upcoming opening, in order to discuss and improve the service.

The event brought together representatives from the municipalities of Dryanovo and Tryavna, local businesses and active citizens, with whom: 

- We presented the DISCOVER project and the new/advanced service that will be offered to potential initiators of energy communities;
- We discussed the potential formation of an energy community with solar energy in Dryanovo;
- We discussed a suitable location of the photovoltaics;
- We initiated the selection of buildings and participants that will be included in the energy community.

This is just the beginning! Dryanovo is taking a bold step toward energy independence and a sustainable future.
